„I learned about the Foundation’s activities when it was still being set up. The members made a great impression on me by showing seriousness and inclusivity. The activities were, without exception, very well organized and attended by Romanians, Dutch, and other nationalities alike.
Without a doubt, the Netherlands needs a well-developed Romanian organization, made by Romanians for Romanians – but not only.
On the one hand, there are more and more Dutch people who come into contact with Romanians living in the Netherlands and I think it’s very important that they get to know better some of the aspects of the rich Romanian culture.
On the other hand, it’s important that such a Foundation exists, so that Romanians can celebrate together their traditions, especially because many of the activities organized by ROMPRO offer a platform where the young generation (often of Dutch-Romanian origin) can stay in touch with the traditions of its parents.
I salute the initiative of setting up ROMPRO and I’m glad it proved to be so auspicious from the very beginning.”
“The lack of cohesion in the Romanian diaspora here seems to me to be a major problem for the quality of life of Romanians living in the Netherlands. We need more organization, and particularly better organization, done by Romanians living here and for Romanians living here.
ROMPRO addresses this issue with a combination of enthusiasm and professionalism that works, that inspires. That’s why I see ROMPRO as a successful enterprise that is very much needed by the community.
I’m impressed by how well organized ROMPRO is. I went to several of their events and each time I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting such a numerous attendance and even less so such a positive attitude.
I appreciate how ROMPRO stimulates integration and encourages social engagement – everyone should help to the extent they can. I’ve seen the results thus far and this makes me support ROMPRO. Best of luck!”
