Amsterdam tour for teenagers 
With Claudia Marcu's (Claudia -Your Guide to the Netherlands) kindness and involvement, the Romanian teenagers were invited not only to get to know each other but also to discover the secrets of the city on the Amstel.

Business Insight & Connect - Romanian Business Community
(RBC)The Romanian Business Community organized at the prestigious business club in Amsterdam the event "Business Insight&Connect" where the members of the community and their guests were introduced by the five guests of honor (Ioana Biris, Georgiana Vasile, Jan Achterekte, Fabrice Polak and Mugurel Ionita) to the secrets of Dutch entrepreneurs and participated in a short training debate (Debat.nl)

ROMPRO's 2-year anniversary
ROMPRO turned 2 years old and celebrated the event together with the team, volunteers and supporters at Dansschool Mittelmeijer in Amstelveen with a huge cake, balloons, funny photos, hammers, cards and lots of joy!

Webinar "Me, Culture, Change" - RBC
(RBC)The Romanian Business Community organized the webinar "Me, Culture, Change" where Dana Popa (cross-cultural relationship and family therapist) and Catalina Negru (project manager) approached the topic from both a practical and psychological perspective.

Helmond accident - The Foundation was asked to support the survivors of the Helmond accident, where it discovered the serious problem of the exploitation of seasonal workers. We got involved with trips to Goch in Germany, dozens of phone calls with the Labour Inspectorate, the Police, the Centre for the Protection of Victims, mayors, employers, victims, journalists, we helped (with the support of volunteers but especially through our own efforts by being present and offering assistance whenever needed) by bringing food, paying for transport, buying mobile phones and recharging cards. ROMPRO continued to get involved, to raise alarm signals and to invite the formation of a working group to solve the problem. The Fairwork organisation responded positively, together with cultural mediators, and will continue actions to draw attention to the problem and increase the confidence of those in critical situations to report incidents.

Plogging in Amsterdam

On the occasion of the "clean-up day" we combined jogging and ecology and cleaned together an area of Amsterdam Bijlmer.

Romania Days

The Foundation promoted and participated in the Romanian Days festival organized in the Hoge Veluwe National Park, was present with a presentation stand, organized activities for Romanian school children on the trip and gave away a prize!

Webinar "Talking to your home"

Organized by RBC - guest architect Corina Popa.

Team Meeting and ROMPRO Amsterdam SeminarWe participated at the Romanian Stand at the Embassy Festival in The Hague We organized (with the help of ROMPRO and LSRS volunteers) a draw for children who colored Romanian folk costumes, a draw in which a 5 years old Dutch girl from The Hague won a horse offered by ROMPRO Foundation.

 

8 September - Module 2 of the Romanian School in Amsterdam started

8 October - Module 3 of the Online School InterconnectionsTeam meeting ROMPRO Rotterdam Chapter - the local Rotterdam community coordinated by ROMPRO volunteers Cristi Moldovan and Maria de Bruijn Popescu was born.

Workshops for children in Deventer - Romanian School Amsterdam

The Deventer Workshop was born, where 7 Romanian children keep their Romanian roots every Friday afternoon by learning Romanian.

In discussions with our partners at NETSIB Foundation, we saw the desire to start a school workshop in Deventer so we did not hesitate to support them financially and with a teacher to start this workshop.

Folk evening in Utrecht

The Events Team launched with the first "Folk Evening" event in Utrecht, where guitars were strumming in Elle Tapas Bar and Romanian voices were humming songs of yesteryear.

Book Week at the Romanian School Amsterdam

During this event, a special novel published in 2018 "The story of two tiger cubs named Ninigra and Aligru", an ageless adventure imagined about 50 years ago by Nina Cassian, re-illustrated and re-published by Frontiera Publishing House, was presented.

Spotlight Romania 

I participated in Eastwards Film Festival in The Hague as partners for the 1st of December. We organized the first Book Cafe with Romanian writers and the first Christmas Fair with Romanian participants in the Netherlands.

Rhapsodie Roumaine Concert -Concertgebouw Amsterdam- friends and supporters invited ROMPROParticipation in the book launch and sponsorship support of the New Roots Project.
