ROMPRO Romanians for Romanians Foundation Netherlands brings together the enthusiastic efforts of those who believe that Together We Are Better.
We want to integrate and affirm our Romanian values in the Dutch society, to create a space for meeting, communication and support. At the same time we want to invite and stimulate our partners, regardless of their nationality, to support us in the creation and growth of this foundation that will bring our positive contribution to the Dutch society.

Objectives
- Identity
Promoting Romanian traditional values, preserving Romanian roots, language and culture in the context of multiculturalism
Concrete measures: organization of events on the calendar of Romanian traditions, Romanian language and culture courses and promotion of Romanian traditional objects and costumes
- Community
Development of intra-help and support relationships for the Romanian community and for situations where we can support Romania
Concrete measures: official launch of the foundation in Dutch society and organisation of introductory zonal meetings, creation of local volunteer groups and setting up of a functioning emergency information and support line;
- Good luck
The affirmation, promotion, integration, development and success of Romanians in the Netherlands, the Romanian community, Romanian initiatives and Romania. Creating a network to support Romania and facilitate bilateral Romanian-Dutch relations
Concrete measures: forming a business and professional networking club, initiating and organising a success lab to stimulate integration and reaching one's potential, and facilitating mentoring for young people and newcomers
- Talent
Promoting and stimulating Romanian talents in art, culture and sport. Raising awareness in Romania and the Netherlands of the potential and needs of young Romanian talents
Concrete measures: encouraging, supporting and promoting Romanian talents by offering scholarships and master-classes; active support through partnership programmes with organisations promoting Romanian art, culture and sport.
For us it is important to promote values and norms that make the foundation a place where:
- to feel at home
- to express our passion in what we do and who we are
- to stimulate and support each other
- to share our knowledge and inspire each other
- to be able to create a culture in which we can be proud of our identity
- to be ourselves: honest, genuine and trustworthy
- to highlight the unique combination of the two cultures
Current situation
In this early period we are setting ourselves up as an organisation. We rely on the voluntary effort of those who believe in our values, on sponsorships, funding programmes and European funds. It is important for us to gain the trust of those who come alongside us through quality actions and good organisation, and through everything we do to create a bond of trust, transparency, support and encouragement.
