Romanian Vibes: a day of celebration and Romanian culture in the Netherlands

We are happy to announce you to put the next Rompro event in your calendars: Romanian Vibes, a one-day festival that aims to bring the Romanian community together with friends of other nationalities interested in Romanian culture! The event will take place on 22 September in Delft (at the request of the community, we decided to choose a location other than Amsterdam) and will be a celebration of Romanian traditions, flavours and music.

Location, Rotterdamseweg 272, 2628 AT Delft. Between 12.00-21.00.

Confirmed activities:

Romanian artists and traders fair: Visitors will have the opportunity to discover and purchase authentic Romanian products, from handicrafts to culinary delights. Here's who you can meet at the fair:

• Alina Allen Art - Textile art, textile jewellery, illustrations and greeting cards, realistic fantasy paintings.
• Bio uit Roemenië - Beekeeping and immunity-boosting products based on sea buckthorn.
• Gezond Gezicht - Gerovital skin care products for the whole family.
• Emiliana Sultan - Paintings, prints, earrings.
• Greta Tempelman - Jewellery, angels, seasonal decorations.
• Ramona Kis - Korstmossen Design - Decorate with Lichens and stabilised plants.
• Romanian School The Hague.
• The Hobby Point - handmade things, from colourful earrings, bracelets and badges to crochet and embroidered cotton handbags and home decor accessories.
• The MarBooks - Selected books in Romanian, mainly for children.
• Victoria Cojuhari - Postcards, handmade dolls.
• Vinoro - Romanian wines.
• Whitecudor - Fine arts.
• Weefboutique - Handmade fabrics with painted warps (material: wool and silk). Also offers fair visitors the opportunity to weave on a portable loom.

The event couldn't miss the food, and we have an appetising assortment of cakes, pies and cooked food.

• Coni's Cake - Customised cakes, cakes and traditional Romanian pastries.
• IonisCakes - sweets.
• Natalia food Nederland - Mince pies, bread, cakes, soup, sarmale, beans with smoked pork loin
• Slagerij Luca - Barbecue and meat dishes.
• Bar: You can purchase refreshments and drinks to suit all tastes throughout the day.

Live music: band Korsar and DJ Merces.

Activities for adults

Workshops: Romanian facilitators from the Netherlands will run a series of interactive workshops, giving participants the chance to try new and interesting activities:

• How to activate and use your creativity to feel more at home. Ioana Chicet Macoveiciuc, a writer based since 2022 in the Netherlands with her family, invites you to a workshop of play, socialising and creation!
• Working with lichens - Ramona Kis from Korstmossen Design will teach you how to work with lichens.
• Yoga with Angela Nazarie.
• Breathwork/Respiration with Bianca Olivia Niță.
• In west-coast-swing

Pub Quiz: An interactive competition that will test participants' knowledge in a fun-filled atmosphere.

Activities for children:

• facepainting with Ana Scoarță.
• treasure hunt.
• games table: backgammon, chess, monopoly etc.

Romanian Vibes promises to be a memorable event! We are looking forward to spend together a day full of fun, traditions and good cheer! Do not hesitate to invite your friends of other nationalities!
