Maria Dicieanu graduated from the Film Faculty of UNATC I. L Caragia, Multimedia Sound and Editing section. She then attended and completed a Master of Film Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Her activities are diverse but whether it's articles, studies, social media and PR or even film editing, she keeps tangents with media, design, digital arts and cinema.

In 2018, Maria initiated the Romeense Kinderbokenweek project in partnership with the Romanian School Amsterdam. On this occasion she presented a special book, both in terms of content and execution, to the community of Romanian parents in and around Amsterdam. In June 2019 she started working on the project Romanian Library Amsterdam, both on the logistical side and on the selection of titles for the children's book section, as well as for the adult section together with co-curator Simona Duicu.

Maria is the person behind most of BiebRO's actions and projects, setting in motion the BiebRO on Wheels project, running the BiebRO Mondays live series and moderating interviews and discussions with BiebRO guests.
