If going to the cinema is one of your favourite activities and you live in the Netherlands, then the Pathé card can be a great purchase. The largest cinema company in the Netherlands is Pathe, with cinemas in 20 cities across the country. A first advantage of having a Pathe card is that you can use it in all cities in a Pathe cinema.
Types of cards
For movie lovers, Pathe offers 2 types of cards:
- Unlimited: costs €20/month (in 2018) and gives you free access to any digital movie, with no limit on the number of movies allowed. For 3D, IMAX or 4D films there is a charge and glasses are not free. The card also includes a 10% discount on drinks and snacks in the cinema.
- Unlimited Gold: costs €28/month (in 2018) and, unlike the Unlimited card, gives you free access to any type of film (including 4D, IMAX). You also get a 25% discount on drinks and snacks purchased in the cinema. When you purchase this card you will also receive 3D/ IMAX glasses.
Attention! The card can only be cancelled or exchanged 4 months after the start of the subscription. If a card is cancelled, you can only get a new card after one year. You can change your subscription from Unlimited to Gold or vice versa at any time. The card is nominal and cannot be used by more than one person. We only recommend this card to people who go to the cinema at least 3 times a month, otherwise it will cost more than the ticket price.
The card can be purchased in any cinema or online at the official website Pathe. Tickets can be bought online, using the Pathé mobile app, or in cinemas from ticket machines. If purchased online, tickets can be collected from 90 minutes to 10 minutes before the start time of the film.
