Universal Day of Prayer 2023

 

Rompro - Romanians For Romanians Netherlands, is pleased to invite you on 24 June 2023 at St. Ignatiugymnasium in Amsterdam from 12.00 noon to the Universal Day of Faith. 🎊🎉

The Universal Day of Iei is celebrated every year on 24 June and marks the promotion and recognition of the cultural value of the Romanian Iei, as well as the associated traditional crafts. This special day was declared for the first time in 2013, following an initiative of the Romanian community from all over the world.

For the Romanian community in the Netherlands it is one of the most awaited events of the year and a good opportunity to gather together, as we have been doing since 2016.

What to expect on Universal Day of Youth:

• • 12.00 - 17.00 Meet the ROMPRO team and our projects

• • 12.00 - 17.00 Visit the Romanian Craftsmen Fair in the Netherlands

• • 14.30 - 15.30 Children's play "The Bear Fooled by the Fox" with actresses Magda Condurache and Loreta Neculai. 

• • 16.00 - 17.00 Seminar held by Dana Popa, a Romanian psychotherapist based in the Netherlands, on the topic: "Wellness, how we take care of ourselves, how we cope with stress".

• • 16.00 - 17.00 Reading workshop for children, organised by @biblioteca.biebro and will be supported by Ana-Maria Pantiru who also coordinates the online meetings of the BiebROțeilor Workshop. At the workshop we will read a series of books and discuss based on them. The children will imagine different scenarios based on the images, discuss the main themes of the books and tell in their own words what happens to the characters. They will also play games to help them interact better with each other. All the questions will be adapted to the children's age and level in Romanian. 

• • The atmosphere will be provided by Lili Melinte who will delight us with Romanian music

• • You can purchase books or other office supplies from the ROMPRO collection for free or for a small donation
  • Face painting for children

• • Other surprises.

Dress code: It would be nice to wear a mare if you have one, or if you don't, you can purchase one directly from the fair.
