Dear Readers,

I'm Raluca-who-presented-a-folk-evening. I could hardly contain my emotions when I greeted the audience, but slowly I felt like friends. You know, when the same language is spoken at the back, it seems easier to get close to the people around you.

"Good evening, darlings!" so began our wonderful evening of folk. And one by one, the room fell silent, as we all waited, excitedly, for the singing to begin.

Gabriela, Maria, Narcisa, Cristian, Adriana are the names of the artists who shone on Saturday evening in Utrecht. Our host was a Spanish restaurant, Ele Tapas Restaurant, to whom we are grateful for helping make wonders happen. And I don't just mean the event, but what happened in our hearts.

I enjoyed singing each one's lyrics and enjoying each one's success. Like Maria's success. Maria who? Uhm, the one who passed "first time on stage" just Saturday, right next to ROMPRO. ROMPRO and many friends of ours. I could see, from over there by the stage, that Maria shone. I don't know, maybe from happiness, maybe from the emotion of the lyrics...

In fact I think we all shone that night. Because we all sang our loves, our feelings, our sorrows... And united we were all of the same language:

"But only in your language
You can caress the pain,
And the joy
Let's make it a song."
(In your language, Grigore Vieru)

I'm Raluca and I presented the event "Evening of Folk". I also met for the first time most of the ROMPRO volunteers at the event on Saturday night. And I also came home floating, not just for the songs I heard, but for the whole event and the new people I met.

So, on behalf of myself, the ROMPRO team, the artists mentioned above, thank you to everyone who joined us for "An Evening of Folk!". I, I tell you honestly, I will come again! And I hope you will too!

What's your reaction?
