A new school year at SRA
We were happy to meet again today for the first Romanian language and culture class of this new school year. We welcome all children to the Romanian School and wish them to discover with interest the beauty and richness of the Romanian language and culture that they can enjoy in this environment!
After introducing ourselves and getting to know each other, we tried to get the children in a good mood and prepare them for the climate of the lesson. So we relaxed atmosphere, listening to two cheerful songs performed by the Zurli Band: A ram sam and I have a little box.
Friendship
This was the theme of today's lesson. After a preliminary discussion, in which we talked about friendship, the need to have friends from an early age and how good it is to have good friends, the children watched a film called "The Rainbow of Friendship".
In parallel with the slide show and reading, the children drew a rainbow on a white sheet of paper. Each colour was associated with aspects of our lives. At the same time, they learned about the seven colours of the rainbow - some of them already knew them - their symbolism and when the rainbow can be seen in the sky. The metaphor "the rainbow of friendship" represents the relationships between children, who must be friends with each other, united in all circumstances. This was the lesson that we learned together after viewing the images.
For the creative part of the lesson, the children made a coloured paper envelope in which they put their drawing and gave it to a loved one.
