Dwarf workshop

The Autumn Fairy came to our workshop and left us a few leaves from her multicoloured garment, with which the children adorned the trees that the fierce wind stripped of their ornaments. The little ones made a beautiful autumn decoration by gluing different coloured leaves onto the bare branches of a dandelion. In its shade, a hedgehog squatted, foraging in the dry foliage.

As you may have guessed, our theme was about the colours of autumn, and we talked about the season that amazes us with its multitude of shades and colours, giving us a spectacle that delights our eyes. Together with the little ones, we imitated the movements of the wind, the flight of the birds and the twirling of the windmills, listening to the song "The wind blows the leaves".

To the rhythm of the song "We are the dwarfs", we "went" to the forest to pick strawberries, blackberries and cherries, imitating the dwarf's gait.

Because last hour we were reminded of the game "Bears sleep and dream", we wanted to play it again and this time we didn't stop until all the bears had slept for a turn.

Another game we played in this class was ,,Stone Bridge". Children's hands joined with parents' hands to form a bridge that we each walked under and had a great time.

The children ended the hour playing hide and seek. They had enough fun to last them until next class.

You are already used to the fact that on Saturdays at school we play and learn through play. This class was more about educational play, repeating the concepts we learned a week ago. The game "Clap your hands and catch the ball", helped us to remember the numbers from 1 to 10, but also to practice our reaction skills. We continued the series with the game "Ping -Bong" which is a game of concentration and attention.

We were reminded of the characteristics of autumn, singing "The leaves are blowing in the wind" and discovering another song about autumn " Aaa, it's autumn yes!"

Have you ever seen an industrious, silent caterpillar carrying the cardinal numbers on its back? Of course not because it's our invention and we're going to patent it.

As you'll see in the pictures, with the help of the chestnuts, after smelling them, naming their shape and colour, I formed the omnidirectional cardinal numbers from 1 to 20. Also with chestnuts we created the numbers drawn in 3D and talked about emotions in the form of "emoticons".

Play, personal development and photography

We also enjoyed a sunny day this Saturday, although the sun had its teeth in. But that didn't stop us from starting an exploration and reconnaissance mission. So, in teams of two, we turned into little explorers in search of details.

The theme this time was 'the human body', details and different poses. The children photographed details of their partner's body that they found interesting and which they were able to capture as part of a little story. Even a small detail can say something about us: a laughing eye versus a sad eye, a smile versus a grimace, an ear and its beautiful shape, a finger pointing to something...

After trying to take photos appropriate to the different details of our chosen partners, thus getting to know each other even better, we focused on portraits. Portraits were taken in various poses, moving or posing specifically.

Later, after the break, we returned to the classroom and started the topic again, but this time we approached it from a different perspective. We tried to capture the portraits of our partners by drawing them in bright colours.

Next time we'll focus less on the body and more on the mind, continuing the general knowledge test, memory and imagination training. We'll be making cut-outs and with the help of them and the children we'll put together a little skit to incorporate into next week's event.

What's your reaction?
